HCSO NARRATIVE:
“On Wednesday evening…Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies responded to a single-vehicle traffic accident involving injuries on U.S. 129/Cleveland Highway at Holly Springs Road.
Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) transported the SUV driver, Lori Ann McDonald, 62, of Lexington, North Carolina, to the hospital for treatment of what deputies classified as visible injuries. HCFR also transported McDonald’s passenger, Lannis Newman Ferguson, 73, of Oakwood, to the hospital for complaints of injuries.
According to the preliminary investigation, McDonald was driving north of Cleveland Highway in a 2021 Toyota C-HR when the SUV hit a deer at Holly Springs Road. McDonald and Ferguson were wearing seatbelts.”
