A spokeswoman for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday Collins posted bond shortly after 6:00 Tuesday night.

The driver of a pickup that collided with a motorcycle Friday morning on Dawsonville Highway was booked into the Hall County Jail Tuesday on a charge of Homicide by Vehicle in the Second Degree.
Mack Collins, 78, Gainesville was driving the truck that struck a motorcycle operated by James Asay, 51, Gainesville, who was fatally injured in the rush hour crash.
Late Tuesday afternoon, Collins was still in jail. Bond has been set at $5,900.
