*A Buford woman has been crowned Mrs. America 2025. Paige Armstrong Ewing won the title at earlier this week in Las Vegas. Ewing will now represent the U.S. at the Mrs. World pageant in January.
*The Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton expansion is finished. The work included 31,000 square feet of renovated clinical space, including new Intensive Care and Immediate Care Units.
*B. Kyle Thompson, who currently works as an assistant district attorney with the Walton County District Attorney’s Office, has been named Barrow County Solicitor General. The appointment was made this week by Gov. Brian Kemp.
