STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“(Tuesday morning about 7:00) a trooper responded to SR 59 south of SR 164 (in Banks County) to investigate a school bus vs. motorcycle traffic crash.
Upon arrival, the Trooper determined a 2024 Blue Bird School Bus was preparing to turn left out of a driveway onto SR 59. A 2001 Harley Davidson 883 Sportster was traveling southbound on SR 59. The bus began turning left onto SR 59 and entered the southbound lane in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle then struck the left side of the school bus.
The bus driver was cited for Failure to Yield while Entering the Roadway. EMS transported the motorcycle operator from the scene for treatment of serious injuries.”
