The past week saw little change in drought conditions in Georgia and little change in the amount of the state affected by them.
In northeast Georgia, conditions this week are confined to Lumpkin, Dawson and Pickens counties, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor (USDM).
Most of the affected counties in the state are in a cluster in south Georgia that extends from Moultrie (Colquitt County) to Bainbridge (Seminole County) which is at the Alabama and Florida line.
At this point, 90 percent of the state is drought-free, an increase of one percent from a week ago.
