Oakwood drug raid nets one arrest, quantity of illegal drugs

HCSO NARRATIVE:

“An Oakwood man was arrested this week in connection with an ongoing drug investigation conducted by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Special Investigations Unit (SIU).

On Monday…agents carried out a search warrant at an apartment on Oakwood Hills Drive, where Matthew Nazir Lott, 20, resides. During the search, agents seized 36 grams of fentanyl along with a set of scales, 1.9 grams of cocaine and 19.7 grams of MDMA. (All weights are approximate.) The estimated street value of the illegal narcotics is just over $7,800.

Mr. Lott was arrested at the scene on the following charges:

·         Trafficking fentanyl

·         Possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute

·         Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute

·         Possession of MDMA with intent to distribute

·         Reckless conduct (having a child in the residence where drugs were being sold)

All charges, with the exception of the reckless conduct charge, are felony offenses. Mr. Lott is being held without bond at the Hall County Jail.”
