Tropical moisture will support increased chances for isolated flash flooding and river flooding across much of the northern half of Georgia Wednesday.
Rainfall amounts of 1-1.5 inches are likely in the affected areas. Slow moving storms could result in localized higher amounts of 3-4 inches. Parts of northwest Georgia picked up 3-5 inches of rain overnight so any additional rain will likely trigger flash flooding.
Parts of northeast Georgia – mostly the more mountainous areas – received up to two inches during the period.
