A Kentucky man, Kevan Hawthorne, 30, is being held without bond in the Hall County Jail following his arrest over the weekend on an attempted burglary charge.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) says it happened Saturday on at a house on Peachtree Drive and that Hawthorne was arrested on Lanier Islands Parkway.
HCSO NARRATIVE:
“…The resident reported the attempt around 5 a.m. on Saturday when she received a notification on her security camera and saw Mr. Hawthorne had made entry to her screened-in porch and was trying to enter the house.
He left the scene before deputies arrived, but the homeowner was able to provide a photo of Mr. Hawthorne from the security footage, and he was located later in the day.
The investigation determined he was trying to get into the house to get food or money. He was charged with criminal attempt to commit burglary…”
