A Jackson County man was arrested in Buford Thursday afternoon by investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) and charged in connection with a smash-and-grab burglary on Winder Highway earlier in the week.
HCSO NARRATIVE:
“Through video evidence from the scene of the crime, investigators used vehicle information to identify and locate Charles Andrew Kucera in the 3400 block of Hamilton Mill Road. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant charging Kucera with smash and grab burglary (felony) for the crime.
On Tuesday morning, Aug. 5, HCSO deputies responded to an alarm at the Joint Smoke Shop and Lounge. They found the front door busted with glass on the ground. According to the initial investigation, Kucera intentionally smashed the front door glass to the business with the intent to commit theft. The damage estimate exceeds $700. There is no current evidence that anything was stolen from the business.
Kucera, 38, of Hoschton, is being held without bond in the Hall County Jail.”
