DNR: Lying to a game warden, hunting deer at night leads to jail time

A 28-year-old man remained in the Hall County Jail early Thursday afternoon having been arrested several days ago by a state Department of Natural Resources (DNR) game warden on three charges related to hunting deer at night as well as probation violation.

Warden Chase Fleming says it all began last November 15 while he was working a night hunting detail and stopped a vehicle after seeing someone in it shine a light on a field.

Fleming said there were three people in the vehicle and that he only recently he learned one of them, Robert Lamar Parker, had lied to him about who he was.

That, Fleming said, led him recently to charge Parker, who had already been charged with Hunting Deer at Night, Hunting from a Public Road and Hunting from a Motor Vehicle to be charged with Giving False Information to Police and, upon learning his true identity, charge him with Probation Violation.
