The Dawson County Board of Commissioners will hear a request in couple of weeks from the would-be developer of more than 200 single-family homes in the Dawson Forest area.
Coleman Family Investments, LLC and Bagley Land and Cattle Co. LLC, have submitted an application requesting a Land Use Amendment to zone 123 acres currently zoned RSR (Residential Sub-Rural) & RA (Residential Agricultural) to RS-2 (Residential Suburban), to construct a 211-unit detached single family community. The tract is located at the intersection of Georgia 9 and Dawson Forest Road.
The county commission is scheduled to hear from the applicants during a 6:00 meeting Aug. 21.
