Fox 5 reports the proposed rail line aims to provide a faster and more efficient transportation option by 2035. GDOT says public feedback from the survey will play a crucial role in shaping the project’s future development.
*A phone line for Georgians with EBT benefits is back online after being down for over a week due to a cyberattack. Officials urge SNAP users to lock their cards and changed the PIN because of suspicious activity. The Georgia Department of Human Services and Conduent manage the EBT call center, which was recently targeted.
*DeKalb County is offering free portable safes and trigger locks through the district attorney’s office to promote gun safety. This initiative follows the tragic gunshot death of a five-year-old by his brother last month.
