Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) have made an arrest in a child molestation case dating back to 2020.
Fredy Nava Espinoza, 36, of Flowery Branch, was taken into custody on Sunday at his residence on a single charge of felony aggravated child molestation.
The investigation began on May 26 after a relative of the juvenile female victim contacted the sheriff’s office to report the abuse. The case was assigned to an investigator with HCSO’s Violent Crimes Unit.
To date, the investigation has determined Espinoza on multiple occasions sexually assaulted the victim, who was under the age of 16 at the time. The abuse occurred between February 2020 and January 2022. The victim and the suspect are known to one another.
Espinoza is being held without bond at the Hall County Jail.
