In partnership with the Gainesville Police Foundation, the Gainesville Police Department (GPD) recently expanded its footprint with Recon Power Bikes. “The law enforcement specific all-terrain bikes overhaul and modernize bike patrol,” a Facebook posting says.
“Most importantly, the bikes allow us to enhance our community engagement, expand patrols and curb crime,” the posting continues. “With full emergency lights and sirens, the bikes allow us to move at ease in congested areas and off road.”
