Phase 1 of White Sulphur Road Realignment now open

HALL CO. GOVERNMENT NEWS RELEASE:

“Hall County…has officially opened Phase I of the White Sulphur Road Realignment Project to all through traffic, improving safety and traffic flow in the area surrounding the Gateway Industrial Centre and the Blue Ridge Connector (Inland Port).  

As part of Phase I of the realignment project, the paving of Cagle Road occurred, and the Norfolk Southern railroad crossing near Cagle Road is now permanently closed. In the coming weeks, additional paving will take place along Cagle Road and the newly realigned section of White Sulphur Road…

Phase II of the project is currently underway, with design and right-of-way acquisitions in process. Ultimately, Phase II will widen White Sulphur Road from the entrance of the Blue Ridge Connector to State Route 365.”
