HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE:
“A Buford man remains in the Hall County Jail with no bond following his arrest last week on rape, aggravated assault and other criminal charges connected to a domestic violence case.
Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies arrested Ryan Steven Parker, 36, after they responded to his residence just after 9:30 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, to investigate complaints of a domestic dispute. Both Mr. Parker and his victim, a female adult, were at the residence when deputies arrived.
The preliminary investigation determined the suspect and the victim became involved in a verbal argument that escalated to physical violence. During the argument, Mr. Parker slapped the victim in the head multiple times. He also choked her. Additionally, the investigation determined Mr. Parker had threatened to kill the victim with a handgun. At one point, Mr. Parker sexually assaulted the victim and refused to allow her to leave the residence.
Mr. Parker was charged with the following offenses:
· Rape
· Aggravated assault (2 counts)
· False imprisonment
· Battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA)
· Terroristic threats and acts
The investigation has been turned over to HCSO’s Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) Violent Crimes Unit.”
