GSP warning; Trump vs. Delta, Aeromexico; Woman-child Porch Pirates

*(GA. NETWORK) – Georgia law enforcement officials are warning about a rise in deadly crashes involving ATVs, golf carts, and MPOHVs in the state. From January to June 202, the Georgia State Patrol investigated 42 crashes. With a total of 14 people have died and 114 have been seriously injured in off-road vehicle incidents this year. Fox 5 Atlanta reports that the Georgia Department of Revenue’s Motor Vehicle Division launched a voluntary registration program for MPOHVs in December 2023 to allow qualified vehicles to operate on county roads. Officials urge drivers and riders to follow traffic laws and safety guidelines to prevent accidents.  

*(SRN NEWS) – The Trump administration imposed new restrictions Saturday on flights from Mexico and threatened to end a longstanding partnership between Delta Air Lines and Aeromexico in response to limits the Mexican government placed on passenger and cargo flights into Mexico City several years ago. “The U.S. Department of Transportation’s tentative proposal to terminate its approval of the strategic and pro-competitive partnership between Delta and Aeromexico would cause significant harm to consumers traveling between the U.S. and Mexico, as well as U.S. jobs, communities, and transborder competition,” Delta said in a statement. There was no immediate reaction from Aeromexico.

*(GA. NEWS NETWORK) – The Peachtree City Police Department say they are investigating a package theft involving an adult directing a child to steal a package from a porch in Peachtree City. The incident was captured on home surveillance footage in the Everton subdivision on July 8th. Fox 5 Atlanta reports that Police are seeking information from residents in the area and asking for additional video footage from that timeframe.
