New Interim Attorney Named in Hall County

Hall County Government has selected Justin Lawhon to be the county’s interim attorney, following current Attorney Bill Linkous’ resignation.

Lawhon, according to a press release from Hall County Government, has been with the Hall County Attorney’s Office since 2022, working as Senior Assistant County attorney. The press release goes on to say that Lawhon “. . . has provided legal support on a wide range of issues including contracts, ordinances and litigation.”

Hall County Administrator, Zach Propes, commented on the appointment saying, “‘Hall County is fortunate to have someone with Justin’s institutional knowledge and professional background step into this role during the transition period’. . .”

Lawhon will assume the role beginning July 21st. Linkous’ final day is July 18th.
