A Flowery Branch man was arrested early Sunday morning on several charges after sheriff’s deputies were called to a domestic dispute around 5:45am in the 5800 block of Lights Ferry Road.
According to an HCSO narrative, the victim, an adult female, was locked out of the house by Mathew Edwin Sheridan, 66 of Flowery Branch after both had been involved in an argument during the night.
It was determined in the preliminary investigation that Sheridan took keys from the victim, caused damage to her wig, and told her to leave while cursing and yelling. The vicitim then left the residence.
HCSO also determined that Sheridan had committed felony aggravated sexual battery against the victim at the house. He also committed misdemeanor sexual battery against the same female at the house at a previous time.
Sheridan was taken into custody around 6:30am Sunday and is charged with the following (as stated in the HCSO narrative):
- Aggravated Sexual Battery (Felony)
- Sexual Battery (Misdemeanor)
- Criminal trespass under the Family Violence Act (Misdemeanor)
- Theft by taking (misdemeanor)
- Disorderly conduct (misdemeanor)
He is currently in the Hall County Jail without bond.
