Former President Trump’s top supporters are fundraising in efforts to pay legal fees associated with their indictments in Georgia related to the 2020 election.
Georgia News Network reports, for instance, that the Banks County Republican Party, for instance, is holding a barbeque and silent auction Nov. 2 to raise cash to cover legal fees for former Georgia GOP chair David Shafer, state Sen. Shawn Still and activist Cathy Latham.
All three have been indicted by Fulton County DA Fani Willis over the trio’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election in the state. They’ve been charged with signing a fake certificate claiming Donald Trump won the presidential election in Georgia.
The event will bring together several Trump loyalists like Lt. Governor Burt Jones and state Sen. Colton Moore. Tickets for tables range from $400 to $1,600.
