HCSO: Woman already facing drug charges now charged in separate $17K+ meth case

A woman arrested last month by other agencies on drug charges is now facing charges filed by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) after its drug agents say they found her in possession of more than $17,000 worth of illegal drugs.

Katie Nicole Johnson, 43, is charged in connection with that investigation with methamphetamine trafficking, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, all felony offenses, the sheriff’s office said Wednesday.

At the time of the earlier arrest, Johnson had also been a suspect in an ongoing drug investigation being conducted by the sheriff’s office. In December, HCSO drug agents found her in possession of 236 grams of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $17,700, the sheriff’s office says.
