HCSO: Undercover drug buy leads to $22K+ worth of coke

Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Special Investigations Unit (SIU) investigators arrested a Gainesville man on several cocaine-related charges last week, including trafficking, and he remained in jail Monday afternoon without bond.

HCSO NEWS RELEASE:

“Investigators took custody of Arturo Jaimes-Pimentel, 46, following an investigation that culminated at his home on Willow Ridge Circle Southwest.

According to the initial investigation, Jaimes-Pimentel sold approximately 196 grams of cocaine to an undercover investigator at his (Jaimes-Pimentel’s) home. Investigators obtained a search warrant for the residence and located an additional 27 grams of cocaine belonging to Jaimes-Pimentel inside, bringing the total to roughly 223 grams.

Investigators seized the cocaine, which is worth an estimated $22,300 on the street. They charged Jaimes-Pimentel with the following felony offenses.

  • Sale of cocaine
  • Trafficking cocaine
  • Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
  • Possession of cocaine”
