Three people charged with furnishing alcohol to minors

Three men facing charges of providing alcoholic beverages to minors at a party in West Hall last September have turned themselves in at the Hall County Jail. They surrendered Wednesday and have been freed on bonds of 1,300 each.

HALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:

“Following an investigation into complaints about a house party on Sept. 7…at a residence on Stephens Road, a Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputy issued arrest warrants for Joseph James Barillari, 52, of Duluth, Tyler Carol Grebe, 55, of Suwanee, and John Henry Rosselot, 44, of Suwanee.

Two HCSO deputies initially responded to the residence around 10:15 p.m. after a 911 caller indicated concern about social media posts referencing the party, which was taking place both inside and on the rooftop of the residence. At that time, the deputies spoke with Mr. Barillari, who indicated he had rented the home via Airbnb for a birthday party for his daughter. Deputies addressed concerns of noise and possible underage drinking and left the scene.

Approximately three hours later, deputies responded to a parent complaining his 17-year-old child had been served alcohol at an open bar at the party. When the parent confronted an adult male at the scene, the conversation escalated into a verbal argument and the parent called law enforcement. The parent indicated he wanted to press charges against the three adults – Barillari, Grebe and Rosselot – who were at the party.

The deputies attempted to make contact with the three suspects at the scene, but no one answered the door. Warrants were issued for misdemeanor charges of furnishing alcohol to a minor…”
