Kayanne Massey, wife of Georgis poultry Abit Massey, has died at the age of 84, six months after her husband died.
She leaves behind a legacy of community and church service including serving as a nursery volunteer at First Baptist Church for more than 50 years, teaching at Vacation Bible School and chairing the Human Resources Committee. Massey and her husband served as State Chairs of March of Dimes and supported the Hall County Library System, Quinlan Visual Arts Center, Good News Clinic, Junior Achievement and many other organizations and programs.
She was deeply involved in local and state politics with values of equality and justice, according to her obituary.
A private graveside service is planned, with a celebration of life event at a later date.
