Gainesville was 5.5 degrees warmer than usual in last month and 2.15 inches drier than normal. That’s according to the National Weather Service Peachtree City (NWS) November Climate Summary for north and central Georgia.
The report shows the average temperature in Gainesville was 57.3 degrees, which is 5.5 degrees warmer than average. The hottest day during the month was 81 on Nov. 11. The coolest was a 29 on the 30th.
Rainfall totaled 2.06 inches. Normal is 4.8. The wettest day of the month was Nov. 13 when 1.24 inches fell.
All of the data for Gainesville were recorded by the NWS at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport.
Statewide, temperatures through the month of November at NWS Peachtree City’s ten climate sites were around five degrees above normal. Precipitation was close to an inch below normal.
