A Flowery Branch man has been charged with choking his girlfriend’s 12-year-old child, but the youngster survived. 43-year-old Jeremie Stringer was being held in the Hall County Jail on bonds totaling $11,400 Friday afternoon.
FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE NEWS RELEASE:
“Flowery Branch Police were made aware of the assault on October 28 when a family member brought the child to the police department. It was reported that during a dispute on October 24, Mr. Stringer allegedly grabbed the child by the neck and squeezed, restricting the child’s ability to breathe.
Detectives conducted a thorough investigation, which included interviews and the examination of all available evidence. Based on the findings, probable cause was established to charge Mr. Stringer with Aggravated Assault (by Strangulation) and Cruelty to Children in the 1st Degree.
Arrest warrants were issued against Mr. Stringer Wednesday, and he surrender at the Hall County Jail.
