Wanted for 7 months, she’s now in jail

A North Hall woman, wanted by Flowery Branch Police since April, was arrested Wednesday during a traffic stop in Flowery Branch but not before, police say, she gave them a false name while being questioned.

FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE NEWS RELEASE:

“…A Flowery Branch Police Officer conducted a
traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration violation. During the stop, a
female passenger in the vehicle provided the officer with a false name
and date of birth.

Further investigation revealed the passenger’s true identity, Stephanie
Michelle Palmer, 32, of Murrayville. It was determined that Ms. Palmer
had active arrest warrants from three different jurisdictions.
One of these warrants was in relation to a felony shoplifting incident (over $500)
that occurred in Flowery Branch in April…

Investigators had previously identified Ms. Palmer as a suspect in the case and obtained
an arrest warrant relating to that occurrence. In addition to the existing warrants, Ms. Palmer was charged with giving false information to law enforcement.”

She is also wanted on unspecified charges in Jackson County, according to records at the Hall County Jail.
