A two-week series of “school-specific” community meetings on plans to rezone attendance zones in Gainesville begins Tuesday.
The meetings are a follow-up to recommendations presented to the Gainesville Board of Education (GBOE) recently by its 2024 Attendance Zones and School Choice Committee.
“School-specific community meetings regarding the recommendations will be held the first two weeks of November to provide those with a vested interest in a particular school or Gainesville City Schools as a whole, an opportunity to receive the updates in person, and ask questions,” a GCSS Facebook posting reads.
The first meeting will be held at 6:00 Tuesday at Gainesville Exploration Academy.
