The Democratic Party of Georgia is launching an initiative to provide free rides to the polls for Georgia voters on Election Day.
“Voter turnout isn’t just important, it’s essential,” Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) said. “And Georgians know that their votes could help sway the entire election. That’s why the Democratic Party of Georgia’s Ride for Democracy initiative to offer free rides to the polls on Election Day is so important.”
Sen. Warnock went on to say “We cannot allow anyone to be sidelined due to transportation barriers. Every voice matters, and every vote counts.”
The party has launched an effort to raise $20,000 to help pay for the project, according to Warnock.
