Gas sales tax suspension ending

(GEORGIA NEWS NETWORK) – The price of gasoline in Georgia will be going up soon – if it hasn’t already.

Gov. Kemp said Tuesday that the suspension of the state fuel tax is being lifted. Kemp suspended the tax a few weeks ago in the early stages of recovery in Georgia following Hurricane Helene.

Since then, the price has gone from around $3.00 a gallon to less than $2.50 in many places. Now, it’s likely to jump back up to the $3.00 mark.
