Gville’s Chicken Festival, Dahlonega’s Gold Rush Days next weekend

Didn’t get the festival itch out of your system with Mule Camp this weekend? Well, fear not. There are two ways in the immediate Gainesville area you can scratch it next weekend.

Gainesville’s annual Chicken Festival will be held at Lake Lanier Olympic Park Saturday 11:00-4:00.

Highlights include Georgia’s Official Chicken Cook-off, live music, and entertainment. The event is free and open to the public.

A $6 wristband gets you 10 ample samples from the cook teams. Also available are 5 wristbands for $25.  Serving continues until 3 p.m. While the judges finalize their decisions, everyone enjoys the festival until the cook-off winner is announced at 4 p.m.

And Saturday and Sunday in Dahlonega it’s Gold Rush Days, one of the oldest fall festivals in the area. Click here for more information: Gold Rush Days – Gold Rush Days Festival
