As a part of a partnership between the Hall County Tax Commissioner’s Office, Intellectual Technology Inc. (ITI)—a motor vehicle kiosk provider in North America—and the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) new enhancing services for motor vehicle customers in Hall County are now available.
ITI recently upgraded tag renewal kiosks at two Kroger locations: one on Jesse Jewell Parkway and the other on Spouts Springs Rd. These kiosks feature enhanced DDS hardware, allowing customers to renew their Georgia driver’s license or ID card on a second screen.
The stores located at New Holland Marketplace 1931 Jesse Jewel Parkway SE, Gainesville and Clearwater Crossing 7380 Spout Springs Rd, Flowery Branch have kiosks now equipped with this advanced technology. Amity Caserta, account manager for ITI, noted that the new technology includes facial comparison checks, which scan a customer’s face and compare it to the photo on record at the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicles. This security feature not only protects customers but also helps prevent fraud.
Darla Eden, Hall County’s Tax Commissioner explained, “The entire transaction takes about four to five minutes. The kiosk will print a temporary paper driver’s license, while the official card will be mailed to the customer.
“All Hall County Kroger stores have kiosks for self-service tag renewals and plans are in place to equip all kiosks with the new features for the convenience of our residents.”
Customers using a DDS Kiosk will save $5 on the transaction fee, bringing to total to $27.
