Kubota Manufacturing recently donated three diesel engines to the Diesel Equipment Technology Dual Enrollment program at Lanier Tech.
The program allows high school students to gain skills they will use if they enter the diesel industry after graduation. They can also choose to continue their education and finish the diploma-level Diesel Equipment Technology program at Lanier Tech.
Lanier Tech President Tim McDonald spoke to the students about the significance of the donation, saying, “It is opportunities like these that give Lanier Tech students the best chance of finding their chosen passion…”
The Executive Director of Career, Technical and Agricultural Education for Hall County Schools, Rhonda Samples, added, “Kubota Manufacturing continues to be a tremendous business partner with Hall County Schools providing students with many opportunities through Work-Based Learning, industry tours, mentoring, guest speakers, etc. Additionally, providing industry-specific equipment to our labs is a valuable investment that can enhance students’ learning and prepare them for future employment opportunities…”
