The city of Gainesville and Forsyth County are reaching out to Florida evacuees who are fleeing the Sunshine State ahead of Hurricane Milton.

Meanwhile, Forsyth County Commissioners Tuesday approved a 50 percent discount for the first seven days of a stay at Bald Ridge Creek and Sawnee campgrounds for Florida residents.
