After the storm: Trump in Georgia

Former President Donald Trump is being debunked about his claims about storm recovery efforts in Georgia.

The Republican presidential nominee stated Monday during a trip to Valdosta that Gov. Brian Kemp hadn’t been able to get in touch with President Biden since Hurricane Helene passed through the state.

But it’s a claim that is not true. Kemp had already stated that he talked with Biden and was offered any assistance Georgia needed.

Biden himself plans to visit impacted areas, too, a spokeswoman said Monday, but when it will “not disrupt emergency operations.”
