HALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:

“A Gainesville man remains in the Hall County Jail with no bond after civil deputies with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office discovered evidence of a hydroponic grow system for marijuana in a residence where he was living.

On September 19, 2024, HCSO civil deputies were in the process of serving an eviction notice on Timothy David Rach, 44, at the home on Majestic Oak Drive in Gainesville when they saw parts of the system in plain view inside the residence.

Deputies contacted HCSO drug investigators, who in turn obtained a search warrant for the house. The investigation led to the discovery of more than 200 grams of finished product, seeds for growing additional plants and a drying station for marijuana. The street value of the product at the time of discovery was estimated at $60,000.

Rach has been charged with criminal attempt to manufacture marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. All charges are felony offenses.”
