Hall Co.: Overnight storms cause some problems

Overnight storms in Hall County caused a few problems but nothing major.

“We had a couple of smaller storms overnight and the conditions are a bit breezy today which has taken some trees down,” the county’s Emergency Management Agency and Homeland Security Director, Zach Brackett said. “No major impacts countywide, however.”

The sheriff’s office reported a couple of roads blocked by fallen trees about daybreak but those have since been cleared.

The top wind gust recorded overnight at the airport was 13 mph. That was about 6:00. An inch of rain was recorded there in about an hour’s time starting around midnight.
