Qualifying begins Monday for municipal elections in Hall County and the rest of the state.
Locally, 21positions will be on the Nov. 7 ballots, including three city council and three city school board seats in Gainesville, with qualifying taking place Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
As for the other cities and towns in the county:
*Oakwood: three council posts; qualifying Monday-Wednesday
*Flowery Branch: two council seats; qualifying Monday-Wednesday
*Lula: three council posts; qualifying Monday-Wednesday
*Gillsville: three seats; qualifying Monday-Wednesday
*Buford: one city commission post and two city school board seats; qualifying Monday-Wednesday
*Braselton: two city council seats; qualifying Wednesday-Friday
*Clermont: two council seats; qualifying Monday-Wednesday
State law gives communities latitude in how many and what days qualifying is held as long as it is finished by the end of the business day Friday.
