The falcons won their first game of the season with a 23-13 victory over Habersham Central. Flowery Branch took advantage of 3 crucial turnovers in the first quarter scoring 2 touchdowns and a 31-yard field goal for a 16-0 lead. Griffin Harper provided most of the offense as he carried the ball 25 times for 176 yards and 1 touchdown that clinched the win in the 4th quarter. All of the Falcons offense came on the ground as they did not complete a pass, but ran for a total of 211 yards. Flowery Branch will go on the road next Friday night in Cumming against Forsyth Central. Their next home game will be on September 27 on 97.5 GLORY FM as they host East Forsyth.
