Week one of high school football is officially in the books after an exciting 5-hour marathon prompted by a 2-hour weather delay. Coach Tommy Jones and the Cherokee Bluff Bears achieved victory at home, defeating the Lumpkin County Indians 31-20. Several games in the area were delayed and others were officially postponed until today. Below is an overview of last night’s games:
