GBI arrests Hall man for sexual exploitation of children

The GBI Monday announced the arrest last Wednesday of a Gainesville man on five counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children in Hall County as well as six additional counts in Jackson County.

The GBI began an investigation into Alexander Webster’s online activity after receiving a Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding the possible online possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

The investigation led to a he execution of a search on Webster’s Hall County home and his subsequent arrest, as well as additional charges relating to the Production of Child Sexual Abuse Material in Jackson County. The GBI was aided in the arrest by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations/U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Webster, 29, was booked into the Hall County Jail.
