The state patrol has identified the motorcyclist it says led a trooper on a chase from Forsyth County into Lumpkin County Saturday as Theodore Matthew Samples, 44, Gainesville.

GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“(Saturday morning about 8:00) a (state trooper) was traveling south on Georgia 400 in Dawson County when he checked a motorcycle speeding. He attempted to stop the motorcycle, but the motorcyclist refused to stop, initiating a pursuit.
The pursuit traveled into Lumpkin County and the motorcyclist committed several traffic violations.
The pursuit continued onto several roads before coming to a stop. The rider was charged with several traffic violations, DUI, and drug charges.”
