The man wanted for a North Hall stabbing last weekend that left another man wounded has been arrested.
“Hall County Sheriff’s Office Patrol and Warrant Service Unit deputies recognized Charles Edwin Simpson, 63, of Gainesville, in a passing vehicle on Thursday afternoon, July 11,” sheriff’s office spokesman Derreck Booth wrote in an email Friday. “Deputies stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Ga. 136/Price Road and Ga. 60/Thompson Bridge Road and arrested Simpson without incident. The arrest happened at approximately 1:30 p.m. He remains in jail without bond.”
Simpson was wanted in connection with the stabbing of a 62-year-old man on Green Hill Road Saturday.
