Deputies with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) arrested a suspect Tuesday night, July 9, after he fled the scene of a domestic incident on Pine Circle Drive in Gainesville. And once the dust had settled he found himself in jail and facing 17 charges.
HCSO NARRATIVE:
Deputies arrived at the scene just before 7:45 p.m. to investigate reports of a male suspect who had rammed his pickup truck into the side of a residence, exited the vehicle and then began using a piece of wood to break windows of the residence. The suspect, identified as Loreto Solorzano-Espinoza, 42, left the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement.
The preliminary investigation also found the suspect had a warrant for simple battery from June 22, 2024, involving the adult female victim who lived at the residence. Deputies also determined the suspect had been placing harassing phone calls from various numbers to the victim.
As deputies left the scene, they saw Solorzano-Espinoza in the pickup truck on Spring Road in the vicinity of Pine Circle Drive. They attempted to stop the suspect, who fled from them, struck a parked vehicle and then traveled onto Pine Circle Drive where he exited the vehicle and ran. After a short foot chase, the suspect was detained. Before being transported to the Hall County Jail, the suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained when he purposely slammed his head multiple times into the partition in the back seat of the patrol vehicle.
