A Buford man was still in the Hall County Jail Monday afternoon after his weekend arrest on several drug charges following a traffic stop on Friendship Road near Williams Road. There were also vehicle ID- and alcohol-related charges filed against him.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE:
A Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputy stopped Brady Patrick Lockwood, 19, around 3:45 p.m. Saturday, June 22, after he observed Lockwood was driving a vehicle with an expired and fraudulent temporary operating permit.
During the course of the traffic stop, the HCSO deputy observed two blank dealer stock license plates in the floorboard of the vehicle. The deputy called for back-up and asked for permission to search Mr. Lockwood’s vehicle. The search of the vehicle uncovered a small amount of marijuana, a yellow oil substance while field tested positive for synthetic cannabis, a grinder and some rolling papers and a small bottle of bourbon.
As a result, Mr. Lockwood was arrested on the following misdemeanor charges:
· Removing/affixing license plate with intent to conceal vehicle identity
· Possession of marijuana, less than 1 oz.
· Possession and use of drug-related objects
· Underage possession of alcohol
He was also charged with felony possession of synthetic cannabinoid.
Mr. Lockwood remains in the Hall County Jail this afternoon.”
