Sat. morning fire destroys house

A mid-morning fire Saturday destroyed a house in the 5400 block of Huntington Mill Drive, according to Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR), leaving two people homeless.

HCFR NEWS RELEASE:

“…Engine 14 arrived on scene discovering heavy smoke and a working fire on the backside of the structure.

Crews began a defensive fire attack on the exterior of the home knocking down majority of the flames. The fire extended into the second floor and attic. Once the environment was safe enough for the firefighters to enter, a primary search was completed and was all clear.

Once the bulk of the fire was knocked down the American Red Cross was notified for two adults. No one was injured on scene and the residence is considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.”
