Reports are coming of storm damage this morning in Forsyth County and Hall County.
This started about 11:00. The sheriff’s department issued a traffic alert about Atlanta Highway being closed south of Georgia 400 Exit 14 because of downed trees and powerlines. Other reports say similar incidents have occurred on Polo Club Drive, Buford Dam Road, and Sanders Road.
Earlier this morning, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office reported that “a large tree” had fallen in the 5400 block of Britt Whitmire Road between Oscar Gilstrap and Odum Smallwood roads. The roadway is completely blocked.
Similar damage was reported in Dawson County yesterday afternoon.
