*The Georgia Department of Labor says it has uncovered more than $105 million the department has been unlawfully holding onto. Labor Commissioner Bruce Thompson says an audit found the money, which was collected prior to him taking office in January as part of various fees and penalty payments from employers. The pattern of holding onto the money allegedly began in 2014. Thompson says the money has now been transferred to the state Treasury Department as required. The investigation is ongoing.
