More than 40 new charges in Hall child exploitation case

Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Investigators are charging a Gainesville man with child
molestation and additional child sexual abuse material (CSAM)-related offenses in an investigation
that started in March.

HCSO NEWS RELEASE:

“Deputies served Ryan Daniel Kinev, 38, on the latest charges at the Hall County Jail, where he’s been
held since his initial arrest on March 28. Investigators obtained warrants for child molestation
(three counts) and sexual exploitation of a minor (38 counts) on Wednesday, April 17.

According to the ongoing investigation that began with a cybertip on March 27, Kinev abused a
female victim, who is under the age of 16, at a residence on Lotheridge Road on March 25, resulting
in the molestation charges. Kinev knew the victim prior to the incident.

The additional counts of sexual exploitation of a minor are the result of recently completed forensic
processing of a cell phone that belongs to Kinev. Investigators found approximately 38 images
and/or videos of CSAM on the phone that was seized during the execution of a search warrant on
March 28, the day Kinev was arrested.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task
Force and HCSO investigation is continuing. Kinev remains in the Hall County Jail without bond.
