Improvements are in the works for Gainesville’s Wessell Park.

“Exciting improvements coming to Wessell Park will affect parking and the 1st hole of the Disc Golf Course during construction.
On street parking will be permitted along Wessell Road in the pedestrian lane and along Holly Drive next to Wessell Park.
The entirety of the first hole for the disc golf course will be out of play. However, there are no long term effects to that hole, but the general contractors are using that area along the road on Holly as a spot to ‘waste’ dirt that comes off the hill.
The project will include a restroom, additional parking lot, and lights for the pickleball courts! Expected completion is the beginning of July.”
